Meet Jo Webb, Head of OrbiRelo at Ariosi, in the second instalment of our Meet the Team series. With a passion for scaling operations and fostering team growth, Jo is a key team member. Let’s dive deeper into her journey and what fuels her passion for success.
Spearheading strategic growth; Jo’s passion for innovation in the serviced apartment industry made it an easy choice for her to take on the role as the Head of OrbiRelo.
With a focus on scaling business operations, she leads essential data analysis, strategic planning and technology innovation to keep OrbiRelo on an upward trajectory, all while overseeing her team and ensuring their development and success. What an absolute superhuman! Her dynamic energy is a trait that many of the team would say Jo has and is rooted in her leadership style as she prioritises nurturing her team by creating an environment for them to progress and thrive.
Jo’s commercial acumen and industry knowledge makes her an invaluable member of the Ariosi team. What stands out most, though, is her hands-on approach. She doesn’t just guide them – she is also looking to continuously learn alongside them. She has a passion for empowering her team, turning ideas into reality and driving OrbiRelo to new heights.
Before joining the team, Jo’s career was of course nothing short of impressive. She graduated with a first in Podiatry (despite hating feet!) before quickly transitioning to financial services with American Express, where she handled foreign exchange trades. Her time in finance sharpened her analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Later, she moved to Vodafone and then into the serviced apartment industry with ESA. Starting as a Partner Account Manager, Jo developed lasting relationships thanks to her effortless ability to balance business needs with strong rapport-building. Jo then moved to the Lamington Group, where she ran their sales and commercial function, solidifying her reputation as a results-driven leader who truly cares about people.
Fuelled by the incredible group of women she works with, it’s not just about organisational growth, but about watching her team succeed and develop their skills. One of Jo’s biggest motivations is the opportunity to drive OrbiRelo and the team to even greater heights. When asked what a typical week looks like, Jo grins and says, ‘Leading the team, driving their growth, and building strong relationships with partners and agents, all while managing daily data analysis and reporting’
She honestly believes that creating a balanced environment for OrbiRelo’s success means having the right people and tools in place. And with that same grin, she adds, “We have a great team and platform for people to make the most of OrbiRelo and all it has to offer.”
Originally from Newcastle, Jo’s proud Geordie roots shine through in her warm, no-nonsense approach to life. Her death row meal? Mince and dumplings, preferably made by her Mam (true comfort food at its finest!). A well-travelled individual, when asked about her favourite travel destination, she couldn’t decide between Belfast or Costa Rica. Belfast has the people, energy, and incredible food, while Costa Rica boasts stunning beaches, rainforests, and equally delicious food.
Jo’s leadership style is all about taking the seed of an idea and cultivating it into a flourishing, vibrant accomplishment. She’s excited about what the future holds for Ariosi and OrbiRelo, especially as she watches her team advance through the experiences and challenges, they face. Looking ahead, Jo is eager to continue growing OrbiRelo, bringing innovation and fresh ideas to the serviced apartment industry and temporary living solutions. Her passion for building something from the ground up, paired with her love for her team, ensures that the future is bright.
