Five years of OrbiRelo: simplifying temporary accommodation for relocating employees
This autumn, OrbiRelo turns five. Since 2021, it has helped relocating employees find temporary accommodation that supports a successful move.
As Ariosi’s specialist accommodation aggregator, OrbiRelo has grown its network from three global agent partners to 12, a mix of global providers and regional experts. This year alone, the team compared 7,875 apartment options for clients, and nearly 50,000 since launch.
What is OrbiRelo?
OrbiRelo is a multi-agent aggregator, which means it works with many accommodation agents rather than just one. It designs and manages temporary-living programmes around each client’s requirements and budget, as well as the needs of the employees who are moving. Using its network of agent partners and hotel providers, the team finds suitable options at the best available price, then looks after everything from the booking through to ongoing support.
How does OrbiRelo save clients money?
Because OrbiRelo is independent, it can draw on temporary living providers through a wide network of agent partners. That gives clients more choice in every location.
It also helps keep costs down. Options from several agents are compared side by side and benchmarked against the market, and the team negotiates on the client’s behalf. Between Q2 2025 and Q2 2026, our clients’ average nightly rate fell by 13.3%.

How has the network grown?
Raquel Aguilar Da Costa, Operations and Client Services Manager, has been part of OrbiRelo since its first year.
“I’ve seen the network grow to include regional experts and hotel providers,” she says. “Clients trust us with their people. We earn that trust through the expertise of our team, the strength of our partnerships and commitment to taking ownership of every stay.”
We asked her, “Why do you believe people still matter the most?”
“For me, the technology gives us reach, but our success comes from the people behind it: our team and supplier partners. Powered by technology. But our success? Superpowered by a great team.”

What to look for in temporary accommodation for relocating employees
After five years of helping companies relocate their employees, a few things come up again and again.
1. Location matters as much as price
Nightly rates vary a lot by city and neighbourhood. GSAIR 2026 puts the average daily rate at £209 in London and £120 in Madrid, and even within one city, central areas usually cost more. It can be tempting to save money further out, but a long commute rarely pays off for someone starting a new job, so it’s worth weighing each option’s price against the journey to the office.
2. Plan for the length of stay
The average serviced apartment booking in EMEA lasts 41 nights. For a stay that long, a serviced apartment usually works out cheaper than a hotel, since apartments are often priced for longer stays and having a kitchen means employees aren’t paying to eat out every night. It helps to look at the total cost of a 30, 60 or 90-day stay against your budget.
3. Think about who’s moving
A family needs more space, and that affects the budget: a three-bed averages £249 a night in EMEA, compared with £124 for a studio. It’s worth checking what’s nearby too, such as schools and supermarkets. If a pet is coming along, make sure the property allows it. In GSAIR 2026, 68% of EMEA bookings were at pet-friendly properties.
4. Book through one platform
Every extra supplier is one more thing to manage. Going through one aggregator means one point of contact and one set of reports, with the same standard of service on every booking.
5. Keep the suppliers you trust
Using one platform doesn’t mean dropping the suppliers you already rely on. With OrbiRelo, you can keep your preferred suppliers and bring in any your client has asked for.

What’s next for OrbiRelo?
Five years in, OrbiRelo is still growing. The network keeps expanding as more partners join us around the world, and behind the scenes we’re developing OrbiHub, a new platform built specifically for temporary housing.
OrbiHub is designed to receive and route requests automatically, and to keep every booking’s details in one place, from the first enquiry to the final invoice. That will mean less time spent on admin, so our team can spend more time with assignees and the RMC consultants who look after them.
What won’t change is the people behind it. OrbiRelo is backed by the whole Ariosi team, now 14 of us, and every request is handled by someone who understands what relocating employees need.
Here’s to the next five.
